My New Home!!!!!

Start back at this life
Stretch myself back into the vibe
I'm waking up to say I've tried
Instead of waking up to another TV GUIDE
It's time now to turn around
Turn and walk on this crazy ground
- Mobile, Avril Lavigne.

The smell of fresh pasta sauce fills the air, tomato, garlic, basil...is there anything better! I am seated at our dining table, next to our kitchen, inside my new accommodation! I have just finished cooking pasta sauce and am leaving it to simmer as a base for the lasagne for my new housemates tomorrow.

Did I tell you I FINALLY found a place – Praise God!!!

Come on in...

I am living in Canada Water which is about 15 mins from Piccadilly, 1 stop from London Bridge and located in Zone 2!

I am living in a house share with 6 other people! Krayzie!!! I share a kitchen, a dining room and a lounge room with all 6! The bathroom I only share with 3 other boys however, we are all on different schedules so it is yet to be a bother at all.

So back to my beautifully smelling kitchen (unfortunately I am still airing out my bedroom, burning incense every night and leaving the window open during the day to give it a pleasant smell!) . It is Wednesday night and tomorrow night I will sit with our roommates and eat together.

Everyone in this house is a  working professional. This  is great! It means even in a house of 6 I can sleep at night because they are all sleeping too!! They are all very friendly but very busy! I am the one who hangs around in the common areas talking to everyone during the evening as they come in and cook, eat or watch TV! It is nice being in a lively house and knowing there are 6 other people around! Though I sometimes miss the peace and luxuries I had in Essex, I feel in time I will settle here and enjoy the real London experience!

Anywayzz so back to dinner...

Shall I show you more of the house?!?!?

The lounge room

The Laundry...

The dining room...

Our 'typical' London garden

My room is quite decent for a London house share; it is long but narrow! It is great to be able to decorate though and I have put up photos and wall hangings from home, helping me to feel more relaxed and comfortable!

My walls are plastered with the my AMAZING team...

Canada Water is a quiet London suburb with beautiful parks and boat docks. It is not the party capital that Soho is but with a 15mins commute who can complain? It also means that at night it is quiet and peaceful!

I am still trying out and visiting different churches; prayer for this would be much appreciated!

I visited ‘the horny church’ while in Hornchurch! Why the horny church? That is not its real name – rather, Hornchurch was named after the bullhorns on the church building! Disappointingly, for my whole triple S team, the church does not live up to the nickname I gave it– and probably does not appreciate it!   This church is very high Anglican and began its service with the minister, choir and Bible readers walking in behind a large cross and wearing white robes. We sang songs (probably older than the church) from a hymn book, recited very ceremonial prayers and were told during the sermon we do not need to have our Bibles open! It was not a ‘bad’ or ‘non-Biblical’ Church though, just not the right fit for me!

I also visited a Church near Oxford this week. It was a nice place with great worship songs, however, it felt very dry and too rehearsed for me! I needed something with a little more LIFE!!!

I went to Hillsong last night and really LOVED that! Will keep you posted!

My FAVOURITE yr6 class has given me a new nickname and a name tag...

I also found this in the local shop...WHAT WERE YOU THINKING LONDON?!?!?!

On Saturday I hung out with a super cool family and we made Pizza from scratch! SO YUMMM!!!!

This is the beautiful path leading to my house!

And this is me walking it!!!

Anywayz that is my news for this week!

Sending a hug from me to you!!!

Joey!!!!

I get really lonely sometimes...what of it?
